Book Design - Anenu
The book "Aneinu" was written by Hezi Cohen, whom I was fortunate to have as a teacher at Yeshivat Ma'ale Gilboa. It is a collection of drashot (homilies) for the month of Elul and the High Holidays, when Selichot prayers are recited. The book consists of a series of wonderful talks exploring the psychological and emotional depth of the Selichot piyyutim (liturgical poems) and the transformative journey they inspire in the human soul.
I strove as much as possible to ensure the book maintains a serene and tranquil tone, with an atmosphere that feels wholesome and calm, yet still carries a spark of magic, subtle drama, and holiness (kedushah).
At the author’s request, I painted the cover: the view overlooking the Gilboa at dawn, framed through an ancient eastern-facing window
